The GN93 is the most luxurious version of this series. For instance, it features an attractive three-piece back with maple bindings and it has a natural-coloured, high-gloss finish.
Takamine GN93: NEX-sized body and unique back
The NEX-style body of the GN93 combines a classic Triple O (000) with a mini Jumbo, resulting in rounder shapes and a waist that is more narrow than a traditional dreadnought. The result: a fiercer tone. Its top is made of solid spruce and the sides and back are made of rosewood. The middle of the back also features quilted maple with two strips of flamed maple.
Hardware and details
The ebony fretboard, with 20 frets, is decorated with position markers, made of abalone and mother-of-pearl. Furthermore, subtle, elegant wooden inlays along the edge of the top (purfling) and around the sound hole, look glorious! The Takamine GN93-NAT is equipped with a set of high-quality gold-plated tuners with black-coloured controls. The string nut as well as the bridge saddle are made of synthetic bone. For optimal intonation and clarity, the bridge saddle has been split.
